In 2015, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) took the decision for the Evaluation of the substance 4,4’-propane-2,2-diyldiphenol, polymer with 2-methyloxirane (BPA-PO), CAS No 37353-75-6 (EC No 500-097-4) pursuant to Article 46(1) of REACH. The initial grounds for concern for the UVCB that triggered the Evaluation is that it is a suspected CMR with high aggregated tonnage and wide dispersive use.

Since 2008, companies have required local legal representation in Europe to comply with their REACH registration requirements. Yordas has acted as the only representative for over 50 Japanese multinational chemical companies.

We helped the client standardise processes and develop chemical reporting tools to manage risk for the aerospace and defence industry.

Together with ACEA, we identified the need for designing a chemical regulation tool that can inform automotive companies in advance of requirements being put in place, enabling the sector to make timely decisions regarding compliance. This meant that the scope of the tool had to cover updates to existing legislation in addition to new legislation in the draft or pre-draft stage.
