Plant protection products Regulation list of approved active substances updated

The approval periods of 96 active substances under the Plant protection products Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 have been extended as per Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/689 of 20 March 2023, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/918 of 4 May 2023, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1021 of 24 May 2023, and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1446 of 12 July 2023.

The approval of the following active substances under the Plant protection products Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 has not been renewed as per Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/741 of 5 April 2023 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1436 of 10 July 2023:

  1. Oxamyl

  2. Dimoxystrobin

The approval of the following active substances under the Plant protection products Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 has been shortened as per Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/932 of 8 May 2023 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1447 of 12 July 2023:

  1. Pyridalyl

  2. Penflufen

  3. Bacillus pumilus QST 2808

The approval of the following active substance under the Plant protection products Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 has been withdrawn as per Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/939 of 10 May 2023:

  1. Ipconazole

The specific provisions relating to conditions of approval of the following active substance under the Plant protection products Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 have been updated as per Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/962 of 15 May 2023:

  1. Calcium carbonate

The approval of the following active substances under the Plant protection products Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 has been renewed as per Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/998, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/999, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1000, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1001, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1002, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1003, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1004, and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1005, all of 23 May 2023, and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1488 of 6 July 2023:

  1. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki ABTS-351

  2. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis strain AM65-52

  3. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. aizawai GC-91

  4. Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain QST 713

  5. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. aizawai ABTS-1857

  6. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki EG2348

  7. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki SA-11

  8. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki SA-12

  10. Quartz sand

As a result, these substances have now been updated in the list of approved active substances (the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 540/2011).​
