Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 27 June 2023, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

  1. Tetramethylammonium chloride

    WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

  2. Tetramethylammonium hydroxide

    WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

  3. Oleic acid, ethoxylated, carboxymethylated, potassium salt, EO 9

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  4. Hexanol, ethoxylated, carboxymethylated, potassium salt, EO 3

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  5. Octanol, ethoxylated, carboxymethylated, potassium salt, EO 8

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  6. Alcohols, ethoxylated and propoxylated with a carbon chain length between C6 and < C12 or a totaled ethoxylation and propoxylation degree EO + PO ≥ 15

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)
