Vietnam Law on Chemicals Appendix I, Appendix II, Appendix IV, and Appendix V amended

On 22 December 2022, Vietnam's Law on Chemicals (Law No. 06/2007/QH12) was amended as per Decree 82/2022/ND-CP. The following substances were added to Appendix I:

1. Ammonia (anhydrous)

2. Acetylene

3. Chlorine

4. Fluorine

5. Hydrogen

6. Hydrogen fluoride

7. Hydrogen sulphide

8. Sulfur dioxide

9. Nitric acid

10. Phosphorus (white, yellow, red)

11. Bromocyclopentane

12. Chlorocyclopentane

13. Cyclopentyl magnesium bromide

14. 2-Chlorobenzonitrile

15. 2-Bromobenzonitrile

16. 1-phenyl-1-propanone

The following substances were added to Appendix II:

1. Pentachlorobenzene (PeCB)

2. Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD)

3. Polychlorinated naphthalene (PCN)

4. Decabromo dipheny ether (DBDE)

5. Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and its salts and PFOA-related compounds

6. Perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS-related compounds

7. Methyl pentadiene

The following substances were deleted from Appendix II:

1. Carbonyl dichloride

2. Demeton

3. Demeton-O

The following substance was amended in Appendix IV:

1. Mercury and its compounds

The following substances were added to Appendix V
