BPR public consultation launched on 2,2-dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide (DBNPA)

On 31 January 2023, a public consultation under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) was launched for the following active substance as a potential Candidate for Substitution:

  1. 2,2-dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide (DBNPA)

    Product type 6 (preservatives for products during storage)

ECHA has launched a 60 day public consultation which closes on 25 March 2023. Interested parties can submit relevant information on available substitutes via the web form on ECHA’s website.
