Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 31 August 2022, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

  1. Amines, C12-16 alkyl dimethyl, reaction products with ethyl chloroacetate, 2-(2- aminoethylamino)ethanol and 2-propenoic acid

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  2. 2-amino-2-ethylpropanediol

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  3. Lithium diisopropylamide

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  4. Strontium

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  5. Lithium 2-hydroxyethoxide

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  6. Hafnium, particle size < 1 mm

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  7. Bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)zinc

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  8. (Trimethylsilyl) methyllithium

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  9. Lithium trimethylsilanolate

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  10. Magnesium bis(dipropan-2-ylazanide)

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  11. Cyclopropylmagnesium bromide

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)
