The EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability is an important developing policy plan in Europe as it will significantly impact the chemicals legislative landscape in the coming years. The objective of the Chemicals Strategy is to promote the transition to chemicals that are safe and sustainable by design

Under the strategy, several policy tools will be developed that will be critical for industries around the globe, including in North America. EU REACH and CLP regulations will be central policy instruments to put the strategy into action. Many chemicals of concern will be banned, further restricted, or phased out.

Elisabeth Luther

Elisabeth heads the Sustainability and Knowledge Transfer business unit at Yordas. She is an environmental regulatory specialist with more than a decade of experience in environmental regulations, project management, regulatory compliance and delivery of sustainability projects. Elisabeth oversees the delivery of sustainability and stakeholder engagement projects, specifically in relation to life cycle assessment, ecolabels and environmental communication. She holds a Master of Environment from Universite de Sherbrooke and a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from McGill University.ce.

Dr Giselle Vincett

Giselle heads Yordas Group’s North American operations, leading on customer engagement, business development and thought leadership in the region. She has a background in academic social science research and teaching with an emphasis on qualitative and social action research methods. She has conducted and managed both small and large scale research projects and was Mercator Research Fellow at the University of Leipzig, Germany. She holds a PhD from Lancaster University in the UK.
