Endocrine Disruptors for Biocidal Products

  • Yordas Group Lancaster Environment Centre LA1 4YQ United Kingdom (map)

Endocrine disruptors (EDs) are the focus of strong regulatory action in the European Union (EU) due to the impact of these substances on human health and the environment. The Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) was the first EU regulation to adopt and implement the scientific criteria for EDs in June 2018. Although the legislative acts have been available for years, identifying the properties of EDs under the BPR remains a challenge. This webinar will give you an overview of endocrine disrupting property assessment in biocides and its regulatory impacts in practice.

The session will cover

  • Regulatory background of ED in BPR

  • Identification of ED in biocides

  • Regulatory impact of substance with ED properties in BPR

  • Guidance on human health information for biocides updates

The session will benefit

  • Companies with obligations under the BPR ( such as biocidal product manufacturers)

  • Companies that are interested in the identification of endocrine disruptors (toxicologists, regulatory scientists)
