The Biocidal Product Families (BPF) concept is intended to reduce the workload for companies who sell a number of similar biocidal products. There have been a number of changes to exactly how these dossiers are handled by the Competent Authorities (CA) and ECHA including an update from a CA meeting in 2021 which has caused significant reassessment of previously submitted dossiers including some previously accepted dossiers being revised and broken up into smaller families. This represents a tightening of the regulations around BPFs and attending the webinar would be of benefit to anyone not currently up-to-date on these changes.
The session will cover
What is a biocidal product family?
What products can be included together in a family and what variations are allowed?
Worked example of a sample product family and how to determine the formation of the dossier (core, subsets, extensions and different Meta-SPCs)
A brief overview of the Dossier preparation and submission process.
The session will benefit
Companies in the Biocides Industry looking to place a number of similar products on the market.
Stakeholders who work with the BPR and may not be up-to-date with the most recent changes to BPFs.
