Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 23-27 February 2024, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

  1. Alcohols, C14-15, branched and linear

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  2. 4-Chloro-2-[(2-furylmethyl)amino]-5-sulfamoylbenzoic acid

    WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

  3. Polymer of Maltodextrin, Acrylic acid and (3-methacrylamidopropyl)trimethylammonium chloride (average molecular weight 6600 g/mol)

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  4. Poly[oxy(methyl-1,2-ethanediyl)], α-[2-[[3-ethoxy-1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-oxopropyl]amino]methylethyl]-ω-[2-[[3-ethoxy-1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-oxopropyl]amino]methylethoxy]- , residual Diethyl fumarate < 0,2 %

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  5. Spiro[piperidine-1,1'-pyrrolidinium] bifluoride

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)
