Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 19-22 January 2024, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

1. 1,2-Dimethylimidazole

   WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

2. Manganese dioxide

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

3. Bis(4-chlorophenyl) sulphone

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

4. 𝑁²,𝑁²,𝑁⁴,𝑁⁴-Tetrabutyl-6-chloro-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)
