Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 24 August 2023, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

1. 6,6'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-methylenedi-p-cresol

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

2. Amines, C12-14-tert-alkyl, C14-18 and C18-unsatd.-alkyl phosphates

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

3. Polymer with 3-Hydroxybutyric acid and 3-Hydroxyhexanoic acid (average MW > 150000 g/mol)

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

4. Decanedioic acid and (2-Benzothiazolylthio)succinic acid, compounds with 1,3-benzenedimethanamine-bisphenol A-bisphenol A diglycidyl ether-diethylenetriamine glycidyl phenyl ether reaction product-epichlorohydrin-formaldehyde-propylene oxide-triethylenetetramine polymer (average MW 1837 g/mol)

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

5. Antibodies (Blood serum proteins that are formed in response to the introduction of an antigen. These proteins include substances such as immunoglobulins and rhumatoid factors.)

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

6. Phthalic acid, ethoxylated, EO 4

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

7. N,N-Diethyl-2,2-dimethoxyacetamide

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

8. Acetic acid ethenyl ester, polymer with ethene and ethenol (molar weight 30000-300000 g/mol)

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

9. Reaction mass of ethanol, 2-[[2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl]methylamino]- and 2,2'-(methylimino)diethanol
