Cosmetic Products Regulation Annexes II and III amended

The following substance has been amended in Annex II of the Cosmetic Products Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 (CPR) as per Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1490 of 19 July 2023:

1. 2-Ethylhexanoic acid and its salts

30 substances have been added to Annex II.

The following substances have been amended in Annex III of the CPR as per Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 of 26 July 2023:

1. Benzyl alcohol

2. 6-Methylcoumarin

3. 3,7-Dimethyl-2,6-octadienal

4. Phenol, 2-methoxy-4-(1-propenyl)

5. Citronellol/ (±) 3,7-Dimethyl-6-octen-1-ol

6. 1-methyl-4-prop-1-en-2-yl-cyclohexene

7. Pinus mugo leaf and twig oil and extract

8. Pinus pumila leaf and twig oil and extract

9. Cedrus atlantica oil and extract

10. Turpentine gum (Pinus spp.)

11. p-Mentha-1,3-diene

12. p-Mentha-1,4(8)-diene

13. Myroxylon balsamum var. pereirae; extracts and distillates

14. 1-(2,6,6-trimethyl2-cyclohexen-1-yl)-2-buten-1-one

15. 3-Propylidene-1(3H)-isobenzofuranone

16. Verbena absolute

17. Methyl 2-hydroxybenzoate

45 substances have been added to Annex III.
