Authorisation granted for 4-tert-OPnEO

On 10 November 2023, the European Commission granted an Authorisation for the following substance:

  1. 4-(1,1,3,3-Tetra methylbutyl)phenol, ethoxylated (4-tert-OPnEO)

Authorisation number REACH/23/31/0 is held by Boehringer Ingelheim RCV GmbH & Co KG, and approves the industrial use of 4-tert-OPnEO as a detergent in the purification of lipidated OspA protein subsequently used for manufacturing of Lyme disease vaccine candidate.
