Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 5 June 2023, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

  1. 2-Methoxyethyl acrylate

    WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

  2. Tetramethylammonium-2,2-dimethylpropionate

    WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

  3. Magnesium acrylate

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  4. Reaction mass of ethylbenzene and xylene

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  5. Carbonohydrazide

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  6. N,N'-bis(5,5-dimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaphosphinane-2-oxide-2-yl)ethane-1,2-diamine

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  7. 2-Ethylhexane-1,3-diol

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)
