Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 31 May 2023, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

1. Pyrocatechol

   WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

2. Carbamic acid, N-[(dimethoxymethylsilyl)methyl]-, methyl ester

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

3. Phosphoric acid mono and -di-2-ethylhexylester, compounds with Triethanolamine

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

4. Reaction product of hexamethylene diisocyanate polymer, 3,5-dimethylpyrazole, 1,4-butanediol and polyglycol monomethyl ether (average molar mass 1280 g/mol)

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

5. Alcohol ethoxylates with a carbon chain length between C6 and < C12 or an ethoxylation degree ≥ 15 EO

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)
