Switzerland Workplace exposure limit values updated

On 14 December 2022, the Switzerland Workplace exposure limit values were updated. The following substances received new VME limit values:

  1. Peracetic acid

  2. 2-Butanethiol

  3. 2-Methyl-2-propanethiol

  4. 2-Ethylhexyl oleate

  5. N-phenyl-1-naphthylamine

  6. 2,2ʹ-Thiobis(4-methyl-6-tertbutylphenol)

  7. Triphenyl phosphorothionate

  8. Triglycerides (lard oil, palm oil, rapeseed oil, soybean oil)

VME limit values for the following substances were updated:

  1. Beryllium and its compounds

  2. Tert-Butyl-4-Hydroxyanisole (BHA)

  3. Chloromethane

  4. 1,2-Dichloropropane

  5. Ceramic fibers

  6. Heptane (all isomers)

  7. Manganese and its inorganic compounds

  8. Methylhydrazine

  9. Molybdenum and its insoluble compounds

  10. Nickel, soluble salts

  11. Resorcinol

  12. 1,1,2,2-Tetrachloroethane

  13. 2,4-Toluenediamine

  14. Triphenylphosphate

The following substance received new VBT limit values:

  1. n-Heptane

VBT limit values for the following substances were updated:

  1. Acetone

  2. Benzene

VBT limit values for the following substance were deleted:

  1. Nickel, soluble salts
