Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 13 December 2022, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

1. Tall oil, potassium salt

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

2. 2-[Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino]-2-(hydroxymethyl)propane-1,3-diol

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

3. 1-Hexadecanaminium, N-(2-hydroxypropyl)-N,N-dimethyl-, salts with succinic acid monopolyisobutylene derivs. (average molar weight 1500 g/mol)

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

4. Isophthalic acid, sodium salts

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

5. 3-Amino-4-octanol

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

6. 2-Aminoethylethyl isotridecyl ether, butoxylated (average MW 2600 g/mol)

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

7. 1,3-Cyclohexanedimethanamine

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

8. 4-(Fluorodimethylsilyl)butanenitrile

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

9. 1-Propene, 2-methyl-, homopolymer, hydroformylation products, reaction products with ammonia (average MW 1100 g/mol)

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

10. Fatty acids, tall-oil, potassium salts

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

11. Terpenes and Terpenoids, turpentine-oil, α-pinene fraction, polymers with 1-methyl-4-(1-methylethenyl)cyclohexene, styrene and turpentine-oil β-pinene fraction terpenes

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

12. Terpenes and Terpenoids, turpentine-oil, alpha-pinene fraction, polymers with styrene and turpentine-oil beta-pinene fraction terpenes

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

13. 2-Nitropropane

    WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)
