Germany AwSV List of published WGK classifications updated

On 6 December 2022, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

  1. Boric acid, reaction products with 2,2',2''-nitrilotriethanol

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  2. Diisooctyl adipate

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  3. N,N-Bis(carboxymethyl)-L-glutamic acid

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  4. Zirconium hydride, particle size < 1 mm

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  5. Bis(1-methylpropyl)magnesium, content of additives < 2 % regarding the individual substance

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  6. Hafnium hydride, particle size < 1 mm

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  7. Caesium fluoride

    WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

  8. Phosphinic acid, aluminum salt (3:1)

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  9. 3-Nitrobenzoic acid, compound with Diethanolamine

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  10. 3-Nitrobenzoic acid, compound with Triethanolamine

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  11. Dipotassium phosphonate

    WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

  12. Boric acid (H3BO3), compd. with 2,2′-oxybis[N,N-dimethylethanamine] (1:?)

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  13. 2-ethylhexanoic acid, compound with tributylamine (1:1)

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  14. 1H-Benzotriazole, sodium salt (1:1)

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  15. Alcohols, C12-18, ethoxylated, propoxylated, phosphate, EO 2, PO 6 (average MW 629 g/mol)

    WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

  16. Diammonium hydrogen 2-hydroxypropane-1,2,3-tricarboxylate
