Press Release: Yordas Group Takes a Lead in Two Major EU Horizon Projects for Sustainable Future
Forchheim, Germany – March 2024 – Yordas Group, a leading provider of scientific, environmental, and human health services, is proud to announce its participation in two new significant EU Horizon projects to help shape a more sustainable future.
Revolutionising Environmental Risk Assessment with SYBERAC:
Yordas Group joins forces with 11 partners across Europe in the SYBERAC project, with a four-year mission to fundamentally transform the way we approach environmental risk assessments (ERA). The project envisions a novel systems-based ERA (sb-ERA) approach specifically designed to safeguard genetic and functional biodiversity and ecosystem services.
SYBERAC will develop approaches designed to assess the effects that the combined exposure of landscapes to chemical substances has on both biodiversity and the functioning of ecosystems.
Driving Sustainable Manufacturing with SUNRISE:
In the SUNRISE project, Yordas Group collaborates with a consortium of 19 partners to develop an "Integrated Impact Assessment Framework for Safe-and-Sustainable by Design" (IIAF). This Framework, based on lifecycle thinking principles, will empower stakeholders across the advanced materials manufacturing value chain to make "Safe-and-Sustainable by Design" decisions.
By enabling proactive assessments of environmental, economic and social impacts throughout the lifecycle, SUNRISE partners can foster a truly sustainable future for manufacturing.
