BPR public consultation launched on 3 active substances
On 3 November 2023, a public consultation under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) was launched for the following active substances as a potential Candidate for Substitution:
Product type 18 (insecticides, acaricides and products to control other arthropods)
Product type 21 (antifouling products)
N-Didecyl-N-dipolyethoxyammonium borate/Didecylpolyoxethylammonium borate (Polymeric betaine)
Product type 8 (wood preservatives)
ECHA has launched a 60 day public consultation which closes on 4 January 2024. Interested parties can submit relevant information on available substitutes via the web form on ECHA’s website.
