On 1 April 2023, Japan designated 6 further substances as Priority Assessment Chemical Substances (PACs) under the Japan Chemical Substances Control Law (CSCL).

In addition, on 31 March 2023, the designation of 6 substances as PACs was cancelled pursuant to Article 11 of the CSCL.

This brought the number of PACs to 218.
