On 3 May 2023, REACH Annex XVII Entry 63, restricting the use and placing on the market of https://substances.hive.yordasgroup.com/r/ID000728 lead and https://substances.hive.yordasgroup.com/r/ID007669 its compounds, was amended as per Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/923.

After 29 November 2024, Lead and its compounds "[s]hall not be placed on the market or used in articles produced from polymers or copolymers of vinyl chloride (‘PVC’), if the concentration of lead is equal to or greater than 0,1 % by weight of the PVC material."
