On 15 May 2023, the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) announced that its Candidate Chemicals List has been updated.

The following chemicals are now Candidate Chemicals for consideration under the SCPR:

1. Sodium perfluoroheptanoate

2. Potassium perfluoroheptanoate

3. Dimethyl hydrogen phosphite

4. Butyl methacrylate

5. Reaction mass of 2,2,3,3,5,5,6,6-octafluoro-4-(1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropan-2-yl)morpholine and 2,2,3,3,5,5,6,6-octafluoro-4-(heptafluoropropyl)morpholine
