On 10 January 2023, the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) Union List was updated with the following approved active substances:

1. L-(+)-lactic acid

   Product type 6 (preservatives for products during storage)

2. Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC)

   Product type 1 (human hygiene)

   Product type 2 (disinfectants and algaecides not intended for direct application to humans or animals)

3. Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium, extract from open and mature flowers of Tanacetum cinerariifolium obtained with hydrocarbon solvents

   Product type 19 (repellents and attractants)

4. Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium, extract from open and mature flowers of Tanacetum cinerariifolium obtained with supercritical CO2

   Product type 19 (repellents and attractants)

This brought the number of approved active substances to 285.
