On 29 November 2022, the German Ordinance on Facilities Handling Substances That Are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) List of published water hazard class (WGK) classifications was updated. The following substances were newly assigned a WGK:

1. 2,2'-iminodiethanol

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

2. Dichloroacetic acid

   WGK 3 (highly hazardous to water)

3. Dichloroacetyl chloride, residual trichloroethylene < 0.1 %

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

4. 2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid including sodium, potassium and ammonium salts

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

5. Etidronic acid including sodium, potassium and ammonium salts

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

6. Nitrilotrimethylenetris(phosphonic acid) including sodium, potassium and ammonium salts

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

7. Benzotriazole

   WGK 2 (obviously hazardous to water)

8. Lactic acid

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

9. 2,4,7,9-tetramethyl-5-decyne-4,7-diol, ethoxylated propoxylated (average MW 856 g/mol)

   WGK 1 (slightly hazardous to water)

10. Alcohols, C8-10, ethoxylated, with 1,2-dodecanediol-ether (≥ 23 EO)
